Marbella Epic Trail Ultra, scheduled for 17th February 2024, is a challenging mountain race spanning over 62 km with an elevation gain of nearly 5,000 metres. Organised by Club Deportivo Ultra Trail Sierra Blanca in collaboration with Marbella Town Council, this event takes place in Marbella and runs through the municipalities of Ojén, Istán, and Monda. It is authorised by Andalusian Mountaineering Federation (FAM) and features a single route and distance.

The core values of this event include authenticity, humility, fair play, respect, and solidarity, reflecting the true spirit of mountain running. The event aims to promote these values while offering runners a challenging and rewarding experience.

The start of ULTRA will be from Paseo Marítimo de Marbella at 5:00 am, with the finish line at the entrance of Parque Nagüeles in Marbella. The race is designed for ultra-distance runners who have completed at least one mountain race with an elevation gain of more than 4,500m or have finished DESTROYER from CxM Sierra Blanca.

Registration for Marbella Epic Trail Ultra includes race participation, a runner's pack, civil liability and accident insurance, a finish line cloakroom service, refreshments during the race and at the finish line, medical assistance, a commemorative medal for those who finish within the time limit set by the organisers, a finisher's gift, trophies for the top three in each category and subcategory, post-race meal, and access to showers.

Participants must comply with a mandatory gear list, including trousers or leggings that cover at least to the knees, a windproof jacket with hood and long sleeves, a thermal or survival blanket, a water container (minimum 1 litre) and a collapsible reusable cup, a mobile phone with sufficient battery, a cap, visor or bandana, whistle, race bib, gloves, GPS or watch with the race track downloaded, headlamp or torch with spare batteries, and a red light for rear positioning during the night.
