Launched in 2014, Sierra Blanca Mountain Race has emerged as a leading annual event, held every second weekend in February, attracting between 1000 and 1200 runners from over 20 countries, open to those aged 17 and over. With three iconic routes - the challenging 42km 'Destroyer', the intense 28km 'Rompepiernas', and the accessible 12km 'Trampantojo' - the race starts on the shores of the Mediterranean, allowing participants to discover the beauty of Marbella's Sierra Blanca, a UNESCO protected gem, from unique views that capture the essence of the region.

One of a kind, Marbella Epic Trail offers an all-encompassing experience through the iconic Sierra Blanca mountain range, crowned by the ascent of its most renowned peak, "La Concha", an emblematic natural jewel of Marbella that captivates visitors and the local community alike.
From the endless blue of the Mediterranean to the majestic heights of "La Concha", through the charming municipalities of Ojén, Monda and Istán, Marbella Epic Trail elevates the concept of competition to become a truly unforgettable adventure. On the appointed date, Sierra Blanca in Marbella is transformed into the heart of an exciting trail running adventure specially designed for youngsters. This event not only promises, but also provides an unrivalled family experience for children and teenagers originally designed for ages between 6 and 17 years old. Following the resounding success of the inaugural event and in response to enthusiastic demand from parents and younger participants, we have expanded the age category to include children as young as 4 years old. The reception was so positive that it became necessary to design a special course for the youngest participants, implemented a few days before the first official edition.
From the first light of day until afternoon, young athletes take to the challenging trails of the sierra, surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful and demanding scenery. Participants test not only their speed and endurance, but also their connection to nature and their spirit of adventure.
But what really sets this event apart is the emphasis on sustainability and inclusion. The race was designed to be eco-friendly, leaving a minimal environmental footprint, just like its big sisters Sierra Blanca and Epic ensures that all young people, regardless of ability or experience, feel welcome and can compete in an environment of equality and respect.
